A cathode is an electrode that is used to reduce or oxidize ions in a solution. Cathodic protection is a method of protecting metals from corrosion by using a sacrificial metal or anode that corrodes in preference to the protected metal. Cd is the chemical symbol for cadmium. CdTe is a compound of cadmium and tellurium, used in solar cells and semiconductor devices. A cell is a basic unit of life that consists of one or more cells. A cell barrier is a barrier that prevents cells from crossing it.
