Home / glossary / gallium arsenide (GaAs)

Gallium arsenide (GaAs) is a compound of gallium and arsenic. It is an important material for producing semiconductor electronic devices such as integrated circuits (ICs) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). GaAs has many superior properties compared to other semiconductor materials, making it ideal for high-speed and optoelectronic applications.
