junction diode

Home / glossary / junction diode

Junction diode: A junction diode is a semiconductor device with two terminals, typically labelled as “anode” and “cathode”. When biased in the forward direction, it allows current to flow freely from the anode to the cathode. When biased in the reverse direction, it blocks current from flowing from the cathode to the anode.
