Home / glossary / rated battery capacity

Rated battery capacity:The rated battery capacity is the maximum amount of charge that a battery can store, measured in ampere-hours (Ah). The rating is usually given as a 20-hour rate. This means that, if you discharge a fully charged battery at a rate of 1 amp for 20 hours, the battery will be completely discharged. A higher rated capacity means that the battery can store more charge and will last longer before needing to be recharged.
