temperature compensation

Home / glossary / temperature compensation

Temperature compensation is the process of adjusting the output of a device or system to account for changes in temperature. Temperature factors are the physical properties of a material that change with temperature. A thermophotovoltaic cell (TPV) is a device that converts heat into electricity using the photovoltaic effect. Thick-crystalline materials are materials with crystals that are thick compared to their lateral dimensions. Thin film is a layer of material with a thickness that is much smaller than its lateral dimensions.
